Little Red Devil heading north | Andrew Dale Racing
Jan 10, 2019
Andrew Dale Racing will bid farewell to Little Red Devil with the gelding set to head interstate.
The eight year-old will move to Queensland after two and a half years with the ADR stable.
Little Red Devil has proved to be one of trainer Andrew Dale’s most successful horses with six wins from 27 starts.
His move comes on the back of three straight victories, the first of those a second Country Cup win last November at Berrigan which added to a previous triumph in the Towong Cup in March 2017.
Little Red Devil also collected two seconds and two thirds while wearing ADR colours.
“He’s been a good horse for the stable and leaves us with 10 victories and $160,000 in prize money,” Andrew Dale said.
“It’s the right time to move him on as an eight year-old and he’ll finish his career up in Queensland where he’ll race some minor Country Cups.
“Obviously it’s a little bit sad to see him go, given his been almost like a Shelbyville of the stable in recent times, a horse that week in week out you can take to the races and know he’ll perform.”
Dale said success with Little Red Devil wouldn’t have been possible without the faith shown in him by owners Adrian and Ron Grantham.
Meanwhile Framework will return to Corowa next week where he grabbed a second place on December 30.
The five year-old gelding will line up in the Benchmark 50 over 1200m on Tuesday where he’ll be fancied to perform strongly.
In other stable news Arthur Porrit is progressing well in preparation for his return to racing.
