Albury trainer Andrew Dale will unleash It’s A Fireball in the feature race at Narrandera on Saturday.

It’s A Fireball is a recent purchase by Dale and will make his debut for the stable in the Proten L W ‘Blue’ Peacock Memorial Benchmark 55 Handicap (1200m).

It’s A Fireball arrives from the Lloyd Kennewell stable where he had four starts for one win, an eight-length romp in a maiden at Murray Bridge.

The three-year-old’s last start was a second placing behind Exalted Adam, who has since gone on to run ninth behind Santa Ana Lane in the group one Goodwood Handicap.

It’s A Fireball is also an acceptor at Albury on Monday but Dale will head to Narrandera instead.

“He trialled really well the other day,” Dale said.

“I’m expecting a really solid performance. I had the race picked out at Albury but we’re keen to keep him on the drier track so he will go around (on Saturday).”

In-form apprentice Josh Richards takes the ride on It’s A Fireball from barrier eight. His two kilogram claim means he will carry 60kg.

It’s A Fireball won his maiden over 1200m and has had two trials in preparation for Saturday. Dale is confident he will get over a mile going forward.

Dale will also be represented by Leica Bita Magic and Biding Time at Narrandera.

Leica Bita Magic has been a model of consistency since joining his stable with one win, two placings and three fourths from eight starts with Dale.

Leica Bita Magic will contest the Charles Sturt Hotel Class One & Maiden Plate (1600m).

“Leica Bita Magic had a couple of goes over 1800 and every rider that rode him said that he felt the firmer tracks so we’ve looked to the softer tracks,” he said.

“He’s been freshened up and should run well.”

Biding Time’s last four starts have consisted of two wins and two third placings. He has drawn the inside gate in the Process Printers Class Three Handicap (1400m).

“Biding Time is going super and comes back in grade, really,” he said.

“The blinkers goes back on, barrier one, he should be three pairs back on the fence and getting a nice run.”

Simon Miller will ride both Leica Bita Magic and Biding Time.
