Malabar Jack made it three wins from his last four starts with victory at Leeton on Saturday.

Ridden by the Hannah Le Blanc, Malabar Jack saluted in the Class 2 Handicap (1150m) holding off race favourite Mystic Flame by just over half a length with stablemate Ali’s Choice third.

The three-year-old gelding’s triumph was Andrew Dale Racing’s 27th win of the season which matches the stable’s tally from last year with still three months to go in the campaign.

Racing manager Frazer Dale said it had been an encouraging month and a half for Malabar Jack.

“It was another good result for him and shows he’s heading in the right direction after three wins and a minor placing in his last four,” he said.

“He’ll make a return to TAB meetings now and will obviously carry more weight, but hopefully he takes some confidence out of these last four runs and can keep building from here.”

Shiny Rock also placed at Leeton finishing third in the Class 1 and Maiden Handicap (1600m).
