ADR will support the Tocumwal Cup meeting with a whopping 11 runners.
The day will be headlined by Eamonn’s Memory and Mojo Music who are both live chances in the Tocumwal Cup with the stable looking to add more silverware to the collection.
Along with the cup duo, the likes of last start winners Calm Buckle and Rushford will be in action, while Noci Di Cocco will be looking to go one better than his last two second place finishes.
Andrew Dale is keen to add the Tocumwal Cup to the trophy cabinet.
“We’ve got a good record in these smaller country cups and we’d love to add the Tocumwal Cup to the shelf,” Dale said.
“In the past year we’ve won the Tumbarumba, Ardlethan, Adelong, Griffith and Carrathool cups.
“This is one we’d love to win.”
After a slow start to his preparation, Eamonn’s Memory’s Carrathool Cup win may have given the son of Per Incanto the confidence he’s after.
He’ll be up against stablemate Mojo Music who has also taken a liking to country cups in recent times.
“Eamonn’s Memory is coming off a strong win in the Carrathool Cup last weekend so hopefully that race turned his form around,” Dale said.
“Mojo Music took out the Tumbarumba Cup in February so he’s a horse that takes a liking to these country cups as well.
“It’s hard to split the two.”
Outside of the cup, nine-year-old Rushford is eyeing three wins from his past four starts in race four’s benchmark 45 (1300m).
“Rushford is in tremendous albeit at a lower grade,” Dale said.
“He’s won twice at Alexandra in his past three starts and this will be his last run before the $50,000 Picnic Final so hopefully that form continues.
“Wagunda’s also a strong chance in the same race.”
Another last start winner in Calm Buckle will tackle race six’s benchmark 50 (1600m) where he has drawn barrier four.
