IT will be a short trip across the road for seven ADR gallopers today.

Jingu Express, Eamonn’s Memory, Three Musketeers, Mojo Music, Can Do Canto, Sheila and Rockbarton Shout will all run on Wangaratta’s pristine turf throughout a cracking eight race card.

With four maidens and four benchmark 64s the meeting has attracted some quality horses but ADR has a number of live chances.

Andrew Dale said he’s looking forward to the day.

“It’s always nice to be at home in the black home shorts so to speak,” Dale said.

“Wangaratta’s such a great country track where every horse gets a chance so we’re looking forward to saddling a few up.

“Greg Brown and his team do such a fantastic job (with the track), it’s as good as any country track that I’ve raced on.

“The horses love having to just walk across the road as well.”

The stable’s best of the day looks to be Three Musketeers who is coming off a fast finish at Echuca in the $100,000 Country Trainers Series Final.

The $4.50 chance will take on race seven’s benchmark 64 (1300m), along with Mojo Music, where he has drawn gate seven with Cory Parish in the saddle.

“Three Musketeers was good at Echuca but just didn’t get much luck,” Dale said.

“He made up some ground late which was pleasing to see but we’ve drawn a nice barrier this time around and should be a good chance.

“With Mojo Music we’re under no illusions that he needs to find some form but hopefully his home track might spark that.”

Jingu Express ($10) has been racing well of late and is looking to snap her maiden in race one (1590m).

“Jingu Express has been pretty consistent of late so I think she’s a chance,” Dale said.

“She gets out to the mile for the first time, we thought we’d give her a go because as you get out to that 1600m mark the races become a bit thinner.

“She’s got a good gate (3) so Cory Parish should settle in a nice spot and be competitive.”

Eamonn’s Memory ($11) will be an intriguing watch in race six (1590m) where he will lug 63kg around after apprentice Beau Treloar claimed 3kg.

After a Carrathool Cup win two starts back, the son of Per Incanto has found some form but will have to navigate that weight.

“Because his rating is up at 76 he’s becoming a horse that’s hard to place but a 64 over 1590m looks a nice race for him,” Dale said.

“He’s drawn a good barrier (4) and it will be interesting to see how he goes.”

In race eight’s benchmark 64 (1000m) the stable will be represented by Rockbarton Shout ($10), Can Do Canto ($21) and Sheila ($26).

After a last start win at Albury, Rockbarton Shout will be hoping to continue his winning form from a wide gate nine.

“Rockbarton Shout has been going really well but will need some luck from a wide gate,” Dale said.

“She‘s up in class but gets in at the weights really nicely – we’ve got Beau Treloar on board who claims 3kg so she gets down to 55kg and there’s only one other horse carrying less.

“Can Do Canto comes back in trip, gets the blinkers on and we plan to ride her cold.

“With Sheila we’re just waiting for a wet track to come along which we’re having some trouble with so we thought we’d tick her legs over.”
