Soho Princess delivered a dominant performance to record her first win for Andrew Dale Racing, storming home to score by three lengths at Wagga on Sunday.
Stepping out to the mile for the first time, the daughter of Manhattan Rain relished the extra distance, settling back in the field before unleashing a powerful finishing burst to put the race beyond doubt.
The victory was a rewarding result for the stable and connections, with Soho Princess having shown encouraging signs in her previous runs. The mare has now earned in excess of $65,000 in prize money throughout her career.
Apprentice Zoe Waller produced a polished ride to guide Soho Princess to victory, recording her first winner since returning from injury. Waller timed her run perfectly and was full of confidence as the mare accelerated clear in the straight.
The win also continued a successful season for Andrew Dale Racing, bringing up the stable’s 50th winner of the campaign and reinforcing the strong form the team has displayed throughout the year.
