Recent stable addition Hervor enjoyed her second career win with a barnstorming finish in the last at Albury on Saturday.
Settling at the rear of the field Jordan Mallyon delivered a brilliant ride to secure Hervor’s first win under Andrew Dale.
“The plan was to go back and ride her cold, the speed was on and she’s done a good job,” Mallyon said.
“She never gave the feel like she was going to just sprint through and win but she just kept picking up and building her momentum. It was a good solid win.”
Hervor, a five-year-old mare, was a $4,000 purchase in the September Inglis Digital Sale selected by Andrew and Frazer Dale.
New stable acquisition Hervor displayed a brilliant turn of foot to claim the last at Albury this afternoon. A great ride from Jordan Mallyon was the difference. Well done to @ADaleRacing who purchased her in the September Inglis Digital sale for 4k. pic.twitter.com/dafMMflWWI
