The thrill of chasing success on the racetrack is a journey of dedication, strategy, and a little bit of luck.

For Dale and his team, it’s a commitment that’s been paying off over the years.

Starting with yearlings in the $20,000-$40,000 range, they’ve consistently found themselves competitive on the country circuit, tasting success along the way.

But with a growing client base and a deeper understanding of what it takes to reach the highest levels, ADR has decided to raise the stakes.

“For many years we’ve purchased yearlings around that $20,000-$40,000 mark and we’ve ultimately been really competitive on the country circuit and have had some success there,” Dale said.

“We’ve upped the ante a bit in the past few years thanks to some loyal clients, we’ve bought two Spirit Of Booms at the 2024 and 2025 Magic Millions.”

The team’s decision to target higher-quality yearlings is already showing promising results.

“For many years we’ve purchased yearlings around that $20,000-$40,000 mark and we’ve ultimately been really competitive on the country circuit and have had some success there,” Dale said.

“We’ve upped the ante a bit in the past few years thanks to some loyal clients, we’ve bought two Spirit Of Booms at the 2024 and 2025 Magic Millions

“Were hopeful that by targeting these types of yearlings we might get to higher places and there was evidence there with Forgotten Spirit running in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

“With the success that came with Forgotten Spirt, those owners went back to the Magic Millions and bought a Spirit of Boom x My Girl Rocks filly.”

Along with the Spirit Of Booms, ADR secured a number of other yearlings of late, with a North Pacific colt, Profiteer Colt and Per Incanto filly.

”We bought a North Pacific colt at the Inglis Classic Sale who from all reports is your standard bread and butter colt,” Dale said.

“And then there’s the Profiteer colt which breaker Adrian Corboy has a nice opinion of.

“Both of those yearlings are by first year sires so we’ve taken some risk there but hopefully that pays off.

“We also bought a cheap Per Incanto filly which has been broken in and is about to be named so there’s plenty of excitement there with some up and comers in the stable.”
