Andrew Dale is out to capture the elusive Tumut Cup on Saturday.
While the trainer has secured country cups all round regional NSW, Tumut is one the stable is yet to take home.
It will be a two-pronged attack for ADR’s assault on Tumut with the stable’s two country cup stars in Copperfield and Eamonn’s Memory stepping out in the 1400m benchmark 74.
Both gallopers look solid chances with Copperfield sitting third in the market at $5.50.
The eight-year-old gelding will carry 61kgs, less than the 64.5kgs he carried when taking home last weekend’s Tumbarumba Cup, also over the 1400m trip.
“The weight shouldn’t be an issue,” Dale said.
“I think he’s a real chance of winning back-to-back races – same trip, similar weight and good gate (6).
“Fingers crossed he can add to his country cups tally.”
For Eamonn’s Memory, he will be out for revenge after finishing second and fourth in the last two editions of the race.
The son of Per Incanto is currently rated a $6 chance.
“Eamonn’s Memory has recaptured some strong form of late,” Dale said.
“He won three on the trot late last year before enjoying a month or two in the paddock.
“He may need the run but from gate two I wouldn’t rule him out.”
A number of other ADR gallopers will also be on show at Tumut.
Newcomer Speed Of Gold looks one of the main chances in race two’s maiden.
Hells Son is the $3.40 favourite in race three’s benchmark 74 (1000m).
While Jingu Express will be chasing win number four in race six’s benchmark 50 where Cassidy Hill will pilot the $4.80 chance.
