It’s often hard to train one winner at a race meeting but the Andrew Dale Racing stable enjoyed a winning double at Saturday’s Finley Autumn Cup meeting.
Eric The Axe was successful in race three on the program, taking out the Maiden Handicap (1400m) whilst Gagosian was a dominant winner in the Finley Autumn Cup (1400m).
“Both horses have returned in good form this preparation so its pleasing to see them breakthrough for the owners,” trainer Andrew Dale said.
“We knew Gagosian was really looking for the 1400m and the further the better for Eric The Axe.”
“It’s a confidence boosting win for both horses and we should see them return to the TAB circuit and be very competitive.”
Dale’s first winning treble was denied when French Politician ran second in the last race of the day, in a tight photo finish.
Jake Duffy again proved his quality on all three mounts.
