Destination Rocks has delivered a fifth win of the season for Andrew Dale with a brilliant turn of foot this afternoon at Tatura.

Lining up in the Benchmark 58 Hcp (1450m), Destination Rocks ($11) beat out Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained race favourite High Delta ($3) and Lindsay Park Racing entry Rugged Roy ($11).

Destination Rocks had not won since last December but claimed his third career victory by two and a quarter lengths, while the result also gave trainer Andrew Dale back-to-back wins at the venue.

“He’s gotten back on top of the ground and that was the key today,” racing manager Frazer Dale said.

“We had another good barrier with (3) and (jockey) Fred (Kersley) was able to put him in a good position to strike.

“It has been a long wait for this second win, but he is a great little horse and I’m sure everyone involved will enjoy this tonight.”
