Andrew Dale Racing enjoyed a big day out at Narrandera on Saturday, saddling up two winners and several placings to kick off the new season in style.
The stable’s first victory came courtesy of Brenlyn’s Trooper, who proved too tough in the BM50 Handicap (1200m). Sent out the $3.30 favourite under Jake Duffy, the seasoned gelding carried a hefty 64.5kg but dug deep to prevail by a quarter of a length.
Not long after, Fortis In Armis continued his remarkable run of form with victory in the BM50 Handicap (1400m). Ridden by Cory Parish, the gelding also won by a quarter of a length, marking another chapter in his fairytale story since joining the Dale stable for just $600 in June.
It was a strong showing overall for the Dale team, who had eight runners engaged on the day. Among the highlights, Quick Spell, Loveofmylife, and Crimosa all finished in the placings, adding depth to a dominant stable performance.
Dale, who was the leading trainer at Narrandera last season, has wasted no time in making his mark again, with the stable clearly firing as the new campaign gets underway.
