ADR secured yet another double last Saturday, May 24, as Mojo Music and Hells Son both continued strong preparations.
After consecutive placings from his past two runs, Mojo Music knocked the door down for the ninth win of his career in the Ladies Day Cup at Wagga Riverside.
French hoop Pierre Boudvillain slotted the six-year-old in a nice spot, getting a beautiful run in transit before running over the top of the leader.
Trainer Andrew Dale said the race set up nicely for his stable stalwart.
“It just looked like the perfect race for Mojo Music and it panned out that way,” Dale said.
“He got a nice weight, decent barrier, heavy track and a beautiful ride so everything went to plan really.
“We love him, he’s been such a consistent horse for us and has now won nine races and nearly $250,000 as a six-year-old.”
Not long after, Hells Son would produce a strong performance to take out race five’s 0-58 (1100m) at Wodonga.
Jockey Ryan Hurdle found cover from a wide barrier before striding out to a one length win.
“Hells Son has had a few months,” Dale said.
“We’ve brought him back in trip in his past few runs and that seems to be working really well.
“He looked the winner a fair way out on Saturday – I couldn’t be happier with how he’s going.”
The double takes the stable to 51 winners for the 2024/25 season and is well on-track to beating last year’s total of 54.
