ADR will turn to some trusted hands for a busy stretch of racing, with familiar jockeys booked for today’s meeting at Corowa and tomorrow’s card at Echuca.
Classy Frenchman Pierre Boudvillain will take centre stage at Corowa, where he’s set to partner Rockbarton Shout, One Special Girl, and Swamped.
The dynamic hoop has forged a strong partnership with ADR, notching up seven wins and five placings from just 24 starts for the stable – a tidy 30% win rate and 50% place strike rate.
And it’s not just with ADR that Boudvillain is flying.
The in-form rider has already chalked up 55 wins this season, with 48 of those on the competitive NSW circuit.
Trainer Andrew Dale recalls the moment Boudvillain first caught his eye.
“I was sitting back watching some racing on a Sunday, and Pierre was riding a few for Danielle Seib,” Dale said.
“I really liked the look of him – I loved his aggression, attitude, and commitment to winning. He never gave up on a ride.
“I booked him shortly after and he’s been really good for us ever since; that’s where the partnership began.”
Boudvillain may hold the key to unlocking another victory with Rockbarton Shout, lining up in race two’s Benchmark 66 over 1000m, jumping from barrier seven.
He’s had three previous rides on the daughter of Holler, scoring two wins – a promising combination for a horse that’s hit a purple patch with two wins and two placings from her last four starts.
“Pierre’s got a good record on Rockbarton Shout — two wins from three rides,” Dale said.
“He knows her well, it’s a small field and she’s racing in great form, so fingers crossed for another strong performance.”
Tomorrow at Echuca, ADR again leans on proven performers.
Cory Parish, a long-time stable ally, will ride Wagunda and Rushford in races nine and ten respectively.
Parish has delivered consistent results this season, banking six wins and 18 placings.
Meanwhile, Ryan Hurdle takes the reins aboard Matter Most in the opener and Densetsu, who lines up in race seven’s benchmark 52 handicap as the early $3.70 favourite.
Hurdle has already ridden a winner for ADR this season and will be looking to build on that with the in-form Densetsu.
“It’s important to have go-to jockeys you trust, riders who know your horses and give their all,” Dale said.
“Both Rushford and Densetsu are well placed at Echuca, so hopefully Cory and Ryan can get them home.”
