Four-year-old gelding It’s Never Enuff collected his first career win at Cootamundra on Friday claiming the Maiden Handicap (1400m).
After missing the start from the barriers, jockey Shaun Guymer was able to capitalise on a frantic tempo set throughout the running.
It’s Never Enuff swooped down the outside and was eased down over the concluding stages to win by a length and three quarters.
“We went to Plan B after the start, they rolled along very fast in front and that was probably the difference in winning or losing today,” Guymer said.
“He was good enough to finish the race of strongly, he had a bit in hand as well, so it was a very good win.”
The son of Woodside Park stallion Rich Enuff was a $3,500 purchase by Royal Bloodstock in the July Inglis Digital Sale.
The gelding is raced by stable supporters Peter Knight and Robin Tatham.
