SHOOTING For Stars will return to Andrew Dale Racing after a stint with Will Clarken and Niki O’Shea in Adelaide.
The four-year-old mare ran the first three starts of her career at ADR for two wins before the Clarken and O’Shea stable picked her up.
After 11 starts for a win and a placing in Adelaide, the daughter of Shooting to Win has been reacquired by the stable.
Andrew Dale said he’s stoked with the purchase.
“She showed some good ability in Adelaide with Will Clarken and Niki O’Shea but unfortunately she wasn’t as consistent as they expected,” Dale said.
“I think in the end they probably lost patience with her but we’re so happy to get her back.
“She’s nicely graded in both the Victoria and NSW jurisdictions around that 60 grade.”
The galloper’s two wins at ADR both came at Narrandera in Spring of 2022 and Dale said she will likely be targeted towards similar meetings.
“Being on the border we have the capacity to take her across the border where she’ll be nicely placed in regional TAB meetings,” he said.
“She’ll be nicely placed at places around southern Riverina like Corowa, Leeton and Narrandera so if she can hold her own there and win some races we can then bring her back into Victoria.
“She returns to us as a more furnished horse and I’m sure the 14 months she spent at the Clarken and O’Shea stable would’ve been great for her – they’re the top training operation in Adelaide.”
