Trainer Andrew Dale is considering a quick back-up for Chairman’s Choice after his impressive victory at Wodonga on Saturday.
After three consecutive placing this preparation, Chairman’s Choice broke through for a well-deserved win in the $25,000 Benchmark 58 Hcp, (1100m).
Ridden by Jake Duffy, Chairman’s Choice benefited from a quick tempo early to demolish his rivals by more than three lengths.
Racing manager Frazer Dale was impressed by the grey sprinters devastating turn of foot after Duffy weaved a passage through the field.
“The horse has been racing ultra consistently and probably hasn’t had much luck in running,” Dale said.
“Jake saved a lot of ground by sticking to the fence.
“Once Jake found an opening the horse really showed what a devastating sprint he has got after an economical run.
“We will look at backing the horse up at Wangaratta on Saturday.”
