Week review
- ADR ran away with two winners this week.
- Eamonn’s Memory took out the Griffith Cup. It was the second country cup win of the star gelding’s career after he won the Tumbarumba Cup in January.
- Copperfield was victorious in race eight’s benchmark 58 (1300m) at Wodonga on Tuesday. Lachlan King gave the gelding a beautiful ride, winning by half a length.
Week ahead
Echuca
- Saturday’s Echuca meeting will see three, possibly four ADR runners in action.
- New addition Vonk will jump from gate two in race six’s 0-58 handicap (1400m). Vonk crosses from Peter Gelagotis’ stable.
- Super View will run his second start for the stable in race seven’s 0-58 (1400m) after finishing mid-field at Corowa last start.
- Turnaquid will have to overcome a wide barrier (17) in race eight’s 0-58 (1200m) which shouldn’t be too much of an issue given her racing style.
- More Importance has been accepted into race nine’s 0-58 (1000m).
Leeton
- Sheila and Shooting For Stars have been accepted into race four’s benchmark 84 handicap (1150m) drawing gates three and four respectively at Leeton on Tuesday.
- Brenlyn’s Daisy makes a return from spell in race six’s class 2 (1150m).
- Crimosa will run in race seven’s benchmark 58 (1050m).
Future plans
- Eamonn’s Memory may be aimed at the Weary Dunlop Handicap on Benalla Cup day next Friday.
- Copperfield may run in heat one of the MCC Country Series. Finishing two in the $100,000 heat would secure a place in the $500,000 final.
