– The stable had one winner last week with More Importance saluting at Echuca. Joe Bowditch produced an outstanding ride to take the six-year-old gelding to his third win in six starts.
Week ahead
Benalla
– Eamonn’s Memory will tackle the first heat of the MCCC Country Series in race seven at Benalla today. In a strong field, the six-year-old gelding takes gate four with Cory Parish to ride and needs to finish in the top two to qualify for the $500,000 final at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.
Grenfell
– Tomorrow’s meeting at Grenfell will see seven runners feature on their cup day.
– Anthemic makes his return from a spell in race two’s benchmark 58 (1000m) alongside Crimosa.
– College Dropout will tackle race three’s class two from gate one.
– Bellman and Deploy and Destroy will go head-to-head in race five’s benchmark 58 (1400m).
– And in the Grenfell Cup (2000m), Kiss The Bride and Parabellum will both be gunning for silverware with the pair in reasonable form.
