Week review
- It was a quiet week for the stable with Thursday’s meeting at Albury the sole race day attended.
- Four runners attacked the Albury circuit with Brenlyn’s Trooper and Brenlyn’s Daisy finishing second and third respectively in race five’s benchmark 66 (1000m).
Week ahead
Tatura (Saturday)
- The stable will descend on Tatura’s cup meeting with a likely five runners in action.
- Super View will kick the day off for ADR, jumping from gate two in race five’s 0-58 handicap (1600m).
- Hells Son will be gunning for victory in race six’s 0-58 handicap (1450m). The son of Hellbent has been consistent this prep without winning so this may be his chance.
- Chairman’s Choice has been accepted into race eight’s benchmark 64 (1000m) with Jake Duffy booked to ride from gate seven.
- Anthemic (race six) and Bellman (race seven, Cup) have been accepted as emergencies (one and two respectively).
Hay (Saturday)
- Miss Beautiful will be the sole runner at Hay where she’ll run in race one’s class two (1000m) from gate one.
Healesville (Saturday)
- At Healesville’s picnic races, ADR track rider and aspiring trainer Kylie Relf will take Malabar Queen and Rushford to the scenic town.
- While Relf’s track riding skills are second to none, she sees a future in training and is learning the ropes of the profession. As part of that education she will take the pair to Healesville.
- Malabar Queen will feature in race one’s trophy 3 (1000m), while after a last start win at Wangaratta, Rushford will be a short price in race four’s picnic trophy (1200m). Star picnic rider Shaun Cooper will take the ride of Rushford.
Forgotten Spirit
- Forgotten Spirit had a jump out at the Gold Coast this week, continuing her education geared towards a Magic Millions run. The Spirit of Boom filly won by a whopping 12 lengths in positive signs. See the replay on the ADR website.
Future plans
- ADR plans to be heavily involved at next Friday’s Wodonga Cup meeting.
- The likes of Brenlyn’s Trooper, Brenlyn’s Daisy, Shooting For Stars and Turnaquid all have scope to back up from Albury’s meeting.
- With rain forecast next week, it will be interesting to see how that will change the playing field for the big day.
