Week review
- Turnaquid ($4.60) continued her winning form at Benalla on Saturday., taking out race eight’s 0-58 (1106m). The five-year-old mare settled towards the back of the field as usual, before putting the field away down the straight to make it back-to-back wins.
- Rockbarton Shout impressed in his first start for the stable, finishing second by a head in race three’s maiden (900m) at Albury on Saturday.
Week ahead
Wangaratta
- Nine runners have been accepted for Wangaratta’s Christmas meeting on Monday.
- Mojo Music will run second-up in race six’s benchmark 58 (1170m) after a positive run first-up at Albury last weekend.
- Brenlyn’s Trooper has been banging the door down of late and will be gunning for victory in race seven’s benchmark 58 (1170m), while Chairman’s Choice has drawn a poor barrier 15.
- In form filly Brenlyn’s Daisy has been handed 63kg for race eight’s benchmark 64 (1000m) and will run alongside Sheila and Shooting For Stars.
- Copperfield, Deploy and Destroy and Hells Son have all drawn barriers in the tens for race nine’s benchmark 58 (1400m).
- College Dropout (race six) and Miss Beautiful (race seven) are first emergencies for their respective races.
Aquis Park (Gold Coast)
- Forgotten Spirit will be looking to finish in the top few in race six’s $250,000 Magic Millions The Debut (1000m). A win in the top three or four would shorten the two-year-old filly’s chances of featuring on Magic Millions Classic Day on January 11. Forgotten Spirit has drawn an ideal gate five with Georgina Cartwright (55kg) booked to ride.

- Five runners had jump outs at Benalla on Tuesday.
- Copperfield was solid, finishing third in his heat, while Three Musketeers and Jingu Express were also positive.
Juveniles named
- Our Anders x Soleil Brulant colt has been named Tuscan War.
- Our All Too Hard x Desert Realm filly has been named Dubai Fountain.
- Our Redente x Fromista colt has been named Cultural Interest.
Per Incanto x Eagle Beaver
- Only 10% remains in our recently purchased Per Incanto x Eagle Beaver filly. Shares are going at $500 for 10% or $250 for 5%.
Future meetings
- The team will target meetings at Corowa and Kerang on December 28 leading into the New Year.
