Honest mare Volere capped off a busy day of racing for the Andrew Dale stable on Saturday with a narrow victory on heavy ground at Echuca.

The five-year-old, one of nine runners for ADR, triumphed in the final race of the day capturing the CB Debt Consultancy 0 – 58 Handicap (1100m).

Nathan Punch who has now ridden four of the stables past five winners put Volere in a strong position early in conditions that suit the mare, Racing Manger Frazer Dale said.

“She’s well placed at this time of year as she strives on wet ground and Nathan rode her perfectly to instruction putting her in a position where she wasn’t hassled early,” Frazer said.

“She has been a very handy mare since joining us, she’s now a four-time winner with the stable and has collected more than $85,000 in stakes money.”

The stable also left Echuca with two minor placings including a second to new addition Chairman’s Choice, a 5YO gelding by Reliable Man, and a third to 3YO filly Mathrin in the 1100m Maiden Plate.
