Two-year-old filly Mescaminto’s pedigree page continues to blossom as her half-sister Hearty Lass found the winners circle once again on Saturday.
Morphettville-horseman John Hyam has guided Hearty Lass to three career wins from seven outings and $135,000 in stakes money. She also grabbed some valuable black type in May after running fourth in the Listed Queen of Adelaide Stakes (1050m).
After purchasing Mescaminto (Kermadec x Amazing Tale) with their 2019 Scone selection, Andrew Dale Racing is hoping for a similarly capable horse.
A $40,000 purchase by Cameron Cooke Bloodstock and John Hyam Racing, Hearty Lass has proved to be a great buy for her connections.
The three-year-old filly by Newgate Farm’s stallion, Wandjina, was offered at the 2018 Inglis Classic Sale on account of Middlebrook Valley Lodge and was bred by Mr. T L Moses.
Mescaminto was also bred by Mr. T L Moses and offered by Middlebrook Valley Lodge in their 2019 Scone draft.
